What If My Possession Is Delayed?

Short answer: You have two options once the agreed possession date passes: stay in the project and demand monthly interest for every month of delay, or withdraw entirely and demand a full refund with interest and compensation. Both routes go through your state RERA authority.

Law: RERA Act s.18 · Authority: MoHUA / State RERA authorities · Status: in force (effective 1 May 2016) · Checked 25 Sept 2026
